On this page, we will discuss a variety of options for working with your data remotely abd also showing which of these methods can be done effectively from your server. Please feel free to contact us for a more in depth explanation of how these solutions can be tailored to your requirements.

Synchronized Act Print E-mail

Act & SynchronizationSynchronizing your Act! database to multiple users or even office locations provide yet another option for your to consider. This is especially beneficial for a laptop user who travels often and needs anytime access to their data, when an internet connection is not available. Then, when they do get connected online, they can update the corporate Act! database and also receive updates from the same location.

Act for the Web Print E-mail

Act Premium for Web allows you to view your Act data conveniently from your browser. This option is ideal for people who travel often and want to access their data from any computer. It also workds well for employees that may not need every feature that the full desktop version of Act has to offer.
You can also use what is called a Dual License in  which you can use the full featured Act program on your work PC and have the additional convenience of Act for the Web when you travel.

Act in the Terminal Server Print E-mail

Act & Terminal ServerImagine Act and Office being installed just once on the server. No matter where a employee is, they can quickly pull up a fully functional desktop window with Act and all the applications they need (i.e. MS Office and applicable Act Addons)
The benefits of a remote desktop arrangement are many. First, only one copy  of Act needs to be installed and configured. If you have 30 employees, they are all working with that one installation of Act and the subsequent hires take minutes to setup. Also, the data stay on your server. Once the employee logs out, none of their data remains on their computer.
